18-year-old faces charges for multiple robberies: Winnipeg police

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) has charged an 18-year-old in connection to four robberies between March 25 and April 7.

WPS say during that time, four businesses within Winnipeg were robbed at knifepoint.

All four businesses were in the 600 block of William Avenue and 700 block of McPhillips Street.

Officers say the suspect entered restaurants and demanded money from employees.

On April 28, police took the 18-year-old into custody, charging him with robbery and other weapon-related offences.

The charges have not been proven in court.
