Winnipeg teen charged with indecent exposure

Winnipeg police have charged a 17-year-old in connection with indecent acts earlier this week.

The WPS says it received a report Wednesday just before 1:30 p.m. of a man who driving along Church Avenue who “committed an indecent act” in front of two preteen-aged school safety patrollers.

Around 2:15 p.m., officers reportedly located the vehicle matching the description from the incident near Atlantic Avenue and McGregor Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was taken into custody.

After he was taken into custody, police say they received a second report claiming the same man committed another incident act, not long before the first one, when he allegedly confronted a preteen walking along Church Avenue.

The 17-year-old has since been charged with three counts of indecent exposure to a person under the age of 16.
