Weapons, drugs, cigarettes seized in cocaine trafficking investigation: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say an estimated $10,000 worth of cocaine, other drugs, cigarettes and weapons were seized from two Manitoba homes on Friday evening – one in Winnipeg and the other in Ste. Anne, Man.

Police say it was part of a cocaine trafficking investigation that began in January.

The Winnipeg police’s tactical support team executed a search warrant Friday at a home on Alfred Avenue in Winnipeg, while RCMP searched the St. Anne home.

Winnipeg police say they seized 6.7 ounces of cocaine (estimated street value of $10,000), 100 percocet pills (estimated street value of $1,500), $17,995 cash and roughly $25,000 worth of contraband cigarettes.

RCMP allegedly seized a .22 calibre rifle with two loaded magazines, a loaded .22 calibre revolver, a 30-06 pump-action rifle, a loaded .22 calibre rifle, a pellet rifle, a compound bow with arrows, cocaine, and more.

A 41-year-old man from Ste. Anne is facing multiple drug-and weapon-related charges. He was detained.

A 41-year-old woman from Ste. Anne is also facing drug-and weapon-related charges. He was detained. She was released on an appearance notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
