“She reported walking west on Elizabeth Road, then north on De Bourmont Avenue, when she was attacked from behind by an unknown male,” said Winnipeg police in a statement.

“She was choked from behind, pulled to the ground and lost consciousness. She fought off the suspect when she regained consciousness, and he fled on foot.”

The suspect has been described as a man, roughly 5’8″ tall, with an average build. At the time, he was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black gloves, and a black toque, adding his face was covered.

Winnipeg police are asking if anyone has any information to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
