Winnipeg police say a 48-year-old woman stabbed two men with a “sharp-edged weapon” in the hallway of an apartment complex in Saint Boniface on Saturday morning.

Police say a 58-year-old victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition, while a 67-year-old was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Officers arrested the woman in the hallway of the building on Goulet Street – near Des Meurons Street – and reportedly seized two weapons.

The Winnipeg Police Service says it happened around 5:15 a.m.

The suspect was allegedly in the hallway knocking on residents’ doors.

The 58-year-old “attended to the hallway” when he was allegedly stabbed in the upper body. The 67-year-old then went to help, according to police, and was also stabbed in the upper body.

Police say the suspect did not know the victims.

The 48-year-old suspect is facing various charges, including assault with a weapon. She was detained in custody.
