Saskatchewan Avenue named Winnipeg’s worst road

Winnipeg’s Saskatchewan Avenue was named the city’s worst road, and the second-worst road in all of Manitoba.

Manitobans voted for Saskatchewan Avenue in this year’s “Worst Roads” contest by CAA Manitoba due to its numerous potholes and patches.

Provincial Road 307, which connects Seven Sisters Falls through Whiteshell Provincial Park, was named the province’s worst road overall.

“This is the first time a rural road has made the top of our list,” said Heather Mack at CAA Manitoba.

Roads are also judged based on poor signage, bad design, poor maintenance, and lack of safe and accessible access.
