Winnipeg police announcing arrests related to two recent homicides

Three men have been arrested in the murder of 19-year-old John Barrion, killed in the early morning hours of February 15th while working at a beer vendor on Notre Dame Avenue.

51-year-old William Sampson and 40-year-old Ryan Smith face charges of second-degree murder and armed robbery among other related offences.

37-year-old Robert Francis faces charges of manslaughter and armed robbery among other offences.

And in another case, an arrest has been made in the homicide of 22-year-old Jorden Batemen, who succumbed to injuries following an assault on Saturday at a Toronto Street home. Homicide detectives have charged 21-year-old Jonathan Chaske with Second Degree Murder.
