Fried chicken covered in BBQ chips? KFC and Frito Lay team up on new chicken tenders

If you like potato chips as much as you like fried chicken, you’re in luck.
It’s not quite the Double Down, but KFC Canada has announced it’s now selling new chicken tenders coated in barbecue flavoured chips from Frito Lay Canada, calling them the KFC x Lay’s Bar-B-Q Tenders.
“The Lay’s brand is synonymous with flavour. When KFC Canada asked to team up and combine their signature chicken tenders with our quality, Canadian-made potato chips, we knew right away that KFC x Lay’s Bar-B-Q Tenders would be a hit,” Shirley Mukerjea, Senior Director of Marketing, PepsiCo Foods Canada said in a press release.
It’s just the latest food stunt for the chicken chain, which has marketed the Double Down, Waffle Double Down and Chachos over the past few years.
The new chicken tenders will be sold in Canadian stores from Oct. 7 to Nov. 10.
