Police operation shuts down Main St.

WINNIPEG (CityNews) – Winnipeg Police have reopened Main St. at Cathedral Ave after some sort of incident early Thursday evening.
Not much is known about what happened, but our reporter on scene said investigators were focussing their attention in a back laneway.
Officers with long guns were seen entering the laneway shortly after 6:00 p.m.
One person was brought out and put into a police cruiser, but it’s not clear how they may be involved.
Traffic was blocked in both directions of Main St. but reopened just before 8:00 p.m.
