Charges laid in weeks-old murder

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – Winnipeg police have laid charges against a 29-year-old in a murder earlier this month.
In the evening of Mar. 3, police were called to a break and enter on McGee Street near Wellington Ave. When they arrived they found a 17-year-old boy being assaulted by the intruder. Police discharged their firearms, shooting the suspect.

Both the suspect and the teen were transported to hospital in critical condition. The victim, 17-year-old Jaime Adao, later succumbed to his injuries.
Ronald Bruce Chubb is now facing three charges, including second-degree murder, attempted murder, and failing to comply with probation.
