Extra protection for hockey players is being developed in Manitoba. It’s a carbon fibre skate guard, designed to protect a player’s feet when they’re blocking shots. The goal is to cut down on the debilitating pain, and rehab that comes as a result of taking a puck to the foot. Mark Neufeld reports.
