32 men facing charges for sexual exploitation in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police say 32 men were taken into custody in an attempt to reduce sexual exploitation and human trafficking in the City of Winnipeg.

The operation was conducted between Nov. 12 and 15 across the city.

Police were able to seize 15 vehicles under the Highway Safety Act, which allows for the impoundment of motor vehicles used in prostitution-related offences.

Additionally, 25 people who were working within the sex trade industry were offered resources by police, who also ensured their safety.

All 32 men have been released on Undertakings and are expected to appear in court at later dates.
