Winnipeg police (WPS) arrested a 59-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting and making threats against staff at Grace Hospital on Friday.
The man had been receiving treatment between April 30 and May 1 at the hospital.
On multiple occasions, he allegedly behaved in an aggressive manner and made sexually explicit comments. He was then physically restrained by hospital security.
“At various stages of treating the man, two healthcare workers were sexually assaulted, one had her garment ripped as the man tried to bite her, and a third healthcare worker was verbally threatened,” WPS said.
WPS officers arrested the man and charged him with two counts of Sexual Assault, for assault and uttering threats to kill or cause harm.
He was released on an undertaking.
The allegations have yet to be tested in court.
