Winnipeg firefighters battle house fire Saturday afternoon

One home was destroyed in a fire on Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg’s Peguis neighbourhood.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services responded to a report of a house fire along Ravelston Avenue West around 4:39 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames and began an offensive.
WFPS was able to declare the fire under control at 5:07 p.m.
Paramedics assessed one person at the scene, but they did not go to a hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and WFPS says there is no damage estimate at this time.
