Senior killed in SUV rollover in Winnipeg parking garage

Police say a man in his 80s died in hospital after the SUV he was driving rolled over in a parking garage in southwest Winnipeg.

A woman in her 80s, the passenger of the vehicle, was taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both needed to be extracted from the vehicle by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.

Police investigators do not believe the rollover was criminal in nature.

It happened Tuesday evening around 7:45 p.m. in a parking garage on Paget Street.
