Cottage in Falcon Lake reportedly formerly owned by Peter Nygard destroyed in fire

Manitoba RCMP say they are investigating a fire that destroyed a cottage in Falcon Lake Tuesday evening.

Mounties say around 8:50 p.m., they responded to a report of a structure fire.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a cottage completely in flames.

Fire crews, with help from the Province of Manitoba Wildfire Service, also attended the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.

At this time, the cause of the fire has not been confirmed.

According to multiple media reports, the property formerly belonged to Peter Nygard.
