Councillor Sherri Rollins resigns from Executive Policy Committee

Councillor Sherri Rollins has resigned from the city’s Executive Policy Committee (EPC). She confirmed her resignation to CityNews on Tuesday, after she did not attend the regularly scheduled EPC meeting.

Rollins has represented Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry since 2018, and before her resignation served as Chair of Property and Development and Chair of the Winnipeg Housing Steering Committee.

On top of her previous role on the EPC, Rollins also sits on the Finance Committee, City Centre Community Committee, Human Rights Committee of Council, and five business improvement zone boards.

Rollins sent her letter of resignation to Mayor Scott Gillingham on Tuesday but has yet to comment on why she came to this decision.
