Urban Wagon hosts 2nd Christmas Walk

By CityNews Staff

Urban Wagons hosted its second annual Christmas Walk on December 15th, distributing gifts, treats, and hot chocolate to spread holiday cheer to all who attended.

It was a special event, though nothing new for the non-profit, that once a week goes out into the downtown area providing supplies for those In need.

“We work every Monday, at 6 p.m., and we give out blankets, food, clothes, and gloves to every in need during winter. And in summer, anything that people on the street need. Doesn’t matter if you’re homeless, or if you’re in a dire situation, we out everything without judging,” said Giovanna Rocca, with Urban Wagons.

“They’re always grateful, and sometimes they cry because they feel hopeless, and at least we have the [means] of making somebody smile and making somebody lonely feel not so alone.”
