RCMP looking for man believed to be connected to liquor store robbery

Manitoba RCMP are looking for a man believed to be connected to a robbery at a liquor store in the RM of Alexander.
Mounties say they responded to a report of a robbery at a business located on Highway 59 at the intersection of Highway 11.
It is believed that a man entered the store and allegedly stole liquor before fleeing the scene on an ATV.
Reports indicate that a store employee tried to hold onto the man until both fell into a ditch, before the man allegedly ran over the employee with the ATV.
Police searched the area and were able to recover stolen liquor, a knife, and a jacket that is believed to belong to the man.
The employee — a 40-year-old man from the RM of Victoria Beach — reportedly suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The ATV was reportedly later spotted on Highway 11 near the Sagkeeng Junior High School, at which point police tried to conduct a traffic stop; however, they were unsuccessful as the man fled into a wooded area behind Turtle Lodge.
RCMP believe they have identified the man involved as 27-year-old Kevin Courchene from Winnipeg, and he is facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to comply with a release order, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and flight from police.
RCMP note that Courchene has not been seen or heard from since this incident and has been reported missing by his family, who are worried for his well-being.
