Winnipeg firefighter injured in commercial building fire

A Winnipeg firefighter needed to be hospitalized after battling a blaze at a commercial building Sunday night.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) says the firefighter was transported to hospital in stable condition by paramedics.

Crews were called to the fire on Seel Avenue around 11:09 p.m. They arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the building.

The blaze, which is under investigation, was declared under control at 2:54 a.m.
