Pedestrian dies after collision with tractor: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police (WPS) said a 50-year-old woman died after being struck by a tractor-trailer Saturday.

WPS received a 911 call at 2:57 p.m. reporting a collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Dufferin Avenue and Main Street.

The woman was taken to hospital with critically injuries. Later, she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer remained on scene and was cooperative with the police, WPS said.

Investigation continues.
