Winnipeg man dead after experiencing ‘medical event’ while driving: police

Winnipeg police say a man in his 40s is dead after experiencing a “medical event” while driving on Portage Avenue Wednesday morning.
The Winnipeg Police Service says the man was driving west on Portage when he had the medical event. He then crashed into parked vehicles on the north side of the road.
It happened around 10 a.m. near the intersection of Linwood Street.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.
Nobody else was injured in the collision, police say.
