For the third year in a row, Premier Wab Kinew will deck the Legislature halls with boughs of holly, as Manitobans are invited for the annual holiday open house on Saturday, Dec. 6.
The event was suspended in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, and again in 2022 due to safety concerns.
“The Legislative Building is the people’s building, and this event is one of my favourite opportunities to welcome everyone inside,” said Kinew. “I look forward to celebrating the holiday season together with music, food, and plenty of festive cheer,” said Kinew in a statement.
The open house will go from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is free of charge. Folks are also invited to bring non-perishable food items in support of the Christmas Cheer Board of Winnipeg.
