Winnipeg man facing 23 mischief charges for slashing tires in Selkirk

Manitoba RCMP say a 44-year-old man has been charged after allegedly slashing vehicle tires in Selkirk.
Mounties responded to several reports of tires being slashed around 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18.
When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed several red vehicles with puncture wounds in a parking lot on Jemima Street.
Speaking to witnesses, the officers learned that a man had been using a knife to slash the tires. In total, 45 tires were slashed on 23 vehicles.
Around 5:45 p.m., Mounties were able to find a man believed to be connected, and he was taken into custody.
Since, RCMP have charged 44-year-old Steven Holowachuk of Winnipeg with 23 counts of mischief offences and one charge of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
Mounties are asking if anyone had their tires slashed over the weekend to contact investigators at 204-482-3322.
