Vacant house fire in downtown Winnipeg

A vacant home on William Ave. went up in flames for the second time in just over a month on Thursday night.

When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the house, firefighters launched a defensive fire attack and then transitioned to an interior fire attack once it was safe to enter.

The fire was declared under control at 10:07 p.m.

No occupants were found in the house and there were no reported injuries, the fire is under investigation.
