Winnipeg police say they are still looking for information regarding a fatal hit-and-run one year later.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 8, 2024, police responded to a report of an injured person at Queen Elizabeth Way and Mayfair Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found 26-year-old Tanner Barry Keeper suffering from serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but died from his injuries.
Through an investigation, it is believed that Keeper fell while he was crossing Queen Elizabeth Way. While he was trying to get up, he was hit by a vehicle that was travelling south.
As the investigation continued, police were able to obtain nearby video footage, and believe the vehicle in question is a dark coloured early 2000s Buick Lesabre.
Anyone who may have any information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
