A convicted sex offender who spent nearly the last 12 years behind bars was released from Stony Mountain Institution Thursday and will live in Winnipeg.

Police warn Glen Gregory Tyler Pozniak, 43, is considered high risk to sexually re-offend against both pre-pubescent and teenage boys.

Pozniak was serving a sentence for sexual exploitation, sexual interference and various child pornography charges.

He is described as five-foot-seven, weighing 209 lbs, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of roman numerals on his left forearm.

Pozniak is being released with several conditions, including staying away from daycares, schools, parks, playgrounds and more. He will also be subject to a 10-year weapons prohibition.
