Police looking for man following assault on Navy Way

Winnipeg police are looking for a man after a 34-year-old was found unconscious Thursady evening on Navy Way.
WPS says around 5 p.m. on Apr 19, a 34-year-old man was found unconscious after his head hit the pavement during an assault.
The man was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he was treated and released; however, he will require further treatment and will likely have a lengthy recovery.
Trough initial stages of an investigation, police learned that both men were in a verbal argument, following a disturbance outside a home.
During the argument, the 34-year-old homeowner was allegedly assaulted and thrown to the ground at which point his head hit the pavement.
According to witnesses, the man police are looking for is around 25-30 years old with shaggy brown hair and a short brown beard. At the time, he was wearing light blue jeans, white Nike runners with black “Swoosh”, and a blue Jets Jersey with white “Byfuglien” lettering and white “33” on the back.
It was also noted that after the incident, the man ran north towards Smith Street.
