Winnipeg police investigating North End death as homicide

Winnipeg police say a 35-year-old man’s death in the North End Tuesday afternoon is being investigated as a homicide.

The Winnipeg Police Service was called to a home on Magnus Avenue near McGregor Street around 3 p.m. regarding concerns over a man’s wellbeing.

Officers arrived at the home and found the body of Matthew Robert Pelletier inside the home. An autopsy is pending.

Police say Pelletier previously lived in Winnipeg.

The WPS’ homicide unit is investigating.
