Winnipeg Fire Rescue Services responded to a pair of fires on the same block of Selkirk Avenue Sunday afternoon.
WFPS says around 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 23, crews responded to reports of a fire in a mixed commercial and residential building along Selkirk Avenue near Salter Street.
Firefighters began to battle the fire from inside the building before declaring it under control at 2 p.m.
WFPS says all residents were able to evacuate the building safely, and they were able to return to their homes once it was deemed safe.
Around 4:07 p.m., WFPS returned to the area after receiving reports of another fire.
Crews initially fought the fire inside the building before being forced out and fighting it from outside.
Firefighters said no injuries were reported, however, some people have been displaced.
WFPS did not confirm if the fires were in the same building. An investigation into the cause of both fires is underway.
