Fire in vacant house on Alfred Avenue in Winnipeg

At 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a fire in a vacant house in the 400 block of Alfred Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.

WFPS attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 9:01 a.m.

Firefighters searched the house and no occupants were located.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
