Winnipeg police seek ‘armed and dangerous’ suspects after Transcona armed robbery

By News Staff

Winnipeg police are looking for two suspects who allegedly held up a store in Transcona Wednesday night.

The Winnipeg Police Service says officers were called to Regent Avenue West near Winona Street around 11:44 p.m. for a commercial robbery in progress.

Employees of the business – two 29-year-old men and a 41-year-old man – told officers two men entered the store armed with guns and demanded money and property from them. The stolen items were placed in reusable grocery bags.

None of the victims were injured.

Authorities are looking for the suspects, who fled before police could arrive.

Both suspects were wearing black pants and black hoodies and had their faces covered. One of the men’s hoodie featured yellow high-visibility tape over the shoulders, around the waist, and on the arm.

Winnipeg police say the suspects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
