50-year-old man assaulted on Stadacona Street

A 50-year-old man was walking on Stadacona Street on Friday when an unknown man pushed him down and began kicking his body and head on the ground.
After managing to get up, the victim entered the store, only to be followed by the suspect said Winnipeg police.
The suspect demanded that the victim buy him cigarettes, when the victim refused, he was assaulted again until a store employee threatened to call the police. The suspect fled shortly after.
Winnipeg police say the victim sustained minor injuries, but did not request medical attention.
Upon an initial investigation, the suspect was described as: a male in his 20s with medium build with short black dreadlock style hair.
The investigate is ongoing.
