Harvest Manitoba issues warning over scam using their name
Harvest Manitoba is issuing a warning to the public regarding a scam, where people are door-knocking claiming to be the company.
In a post to “X”, the company says that they were informed that individuals had been door-knocking and claiming that they were collecting food and donations on behalf of Harvest Manitoba.
We have been informed that individuals are going door-to-door and claiming to collect food and money donations on behalf of Harvest Manitoba. Please be aware: we do not conduct any door-to-door solicitations. If someone approaches you for donations in our name, it is a scam.

The warning notes that the company only takes donations directly at their drop-off locations, which include yellow bins at most grocery stores, or online.
Anyone who believes they may be a victim of any crime is asked to contact their local police station via their non-emergency line.
