5 people charged after fight during traffic stop leads to discovery of gun and drugs

Winnipeg police says five people have been charged after a gun and cocaine were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.
WPS says around 7:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram near McGregor Street and Alfred Avenue on Sunday.
During the traffic stop, the five occupants within the Dodge Ram began to fight each other, at which point officers intervened and took them all into custody.
In a subseqent search of the vehicle, police were able to find and seize a 12 Guage Shotgun, a collapsible baton, and 2.6 grams of crack cocaine.
As a result, 22-year-old Bridgette Alikawsa, 45-year-old Keith Chartrand, 48-year-old Silvia McKay, 38-year-old Bradley Okemow, and 31-year-old George Paul, are facing a combined 17 charges.
