Woman charged after waving knife in Winnipeg’s North End

A 32-year-old woman spotted waving a knife around by Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street was tased and arrested by Winnipeg police.

WPS reportedly received several calls around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, concerning the woman and her actions.

Officers responded and found the 32-year-old with a hunting-style knife. Officers then used a taser in an effort to take the woman into custody.

Since, 32-year-old Chantal Lacquette has been charged with possession of a weapon.
