Man in hospital following home invasion on Emerson Avenue

Winnipeg police says a man is in hospital after a home invasion Friday morning.

WPS says officers responded to a home around 3:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a home invasion along Emerson Avenue.

It is believed two men aged 19 and 20, who were also not known to the homeowner, broke in and allegedly assaulted the homeowner, before taking some property, and fleeing down the Henderson Highway.

The homeowner was taken to hospital in stable condition.
