1 person in hospital after morning house fire in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services says one person is in hospital following a house fire Thursday morning.
WPFS says they responded to a report of a fire in a one-story home on Aberdeen Avenue around 11:48 a.m.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the home and began an offensive attack against the blaze.
Conditions inside the home reportedly worsened, forcing firefighters to evacuate the home and battle the fire from the outside, before it was ruled under control at 12:44 p.m.
One person was evacuated from the home and assessed by paramedics, before being taken to hospital in unstable condition.
WFPS says an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, and damage estimates are not yet known.
