1 dead, 1 injured in collision southeast of Winnipeg

Manitoba RCMP says one person is dead and another is in hospital after a collision on earlier this week southeast of Winnipeg.

Mounties responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Sept. 3 around 6:25 p.m. on Provincial Road 210 at Road 41 N, in the RM of Ste. Anne.

It is believed that one of the vehicles was heading north on PR 210 when it collided with a vehicle that was traveling south.

The driver of the northbound vehicle — a 42-year-old man from Winnipeg — died at the scene, and the driver of the southbound vehicle — a 70-year-old man from Winnipeg — was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP says the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
