Winnipeg police say a man is in hospital after being shot on Sunday morning in St. Boniface.

WPS says around 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 1, officers responded to a report of a gunshot at an apartment complex on Aubert Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 30s on a balcony, suffering from injuries sustained from a gunshot.

He was then taken to hospital by paramedics in critical condition. Police have confirmed the man remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
