Manitoba Hydro employee dies in work-related incident Thursday

Manitoba Hydro says one of their employees has died after performing work related to a power outage Thursday morning.
A news release said that authorities are still investigating but that there is no risk to public safety at this time.
A statement reads, “Our deepest sympathies go out to the individual’s loved ones, friends, and co-workers. We are devastated to lose a member of our Manitoba Hydro family.”
The crown corporation says it is supporting the victim’s family and no further information will be released.
