Manitoba RCMP says a 32-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly tried damaging gas tanks and with a pickaxe.
Mounties say around 11:25 p.m., officers in Ste. Rose du Lac received a report of a man hitting large gas tanks in the Ebb and Flow First Nation with a pickaxe.
Officers attended the scene and allegedly found the man walking along the highway carrying the pickaxe.
He was taken into custody, and upon searching the man, officers say they found a razor blade in his mouth.
He has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief.
Mounties note the gas tanks in question supply fuel to the Ebb and Flow First Nation. They were assessed following the incident and no spills were detected.
