60 iPhones stolen from Portage la Prairie store, 3 suspects wanted: police

Manitoba RCMP are looking for three people after 60 iPhones were reportedly stolen from a store in Portage la Prairie last month.

Mounties say on March 10, they received a report that two men and a woman had entered a store and went to the electronics area.

It is believed the woman distracted the store employee, while the men allegedly broke into locked cabinets and stole the iPhones.

Police say the theft wasn’t noticed until the following morning.

Mounties also believe the theft is connected to similar incidents in Swift Current, Sask., Brooks, Alta., and Medicine Hat, Alta., within the last month.

Police have described the suspects as a man in his 30s, noting at the time he was wearing a white jacket and a blue ballcap. The second suspect has been described as a man in his 30s, at the time he was wearing a black and white baseball cap. The woman has been described as in her 30s, and at the time she was wearing a long white jacket.
