North End house fire that killed 3 dogs being investigated as arson

Winnipeg police say a house fire in North End last week that killed three family dogs is being investigated as arson.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s major crimes unit is probing the Feb. 29 blaze on Redwood Avenue near Sinclair Street.
Police say they were called around 5 p.m. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service personnel were already on scene and had fought the fire, police say.
Animal Services was notified after the three dogs were found dead. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, police say.
Investigators are asking for help from the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219.
