3 in custody following homicide in William Whyte neighbourhood

Winnipeg police say one man is dead and three people were taken into custody Thursday morning after a shooting.

WPS says around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a report that armed men were in a home along Magnus Avenue.

Officers, with the assistance of Air1, attended the home, and spotted three suspects attempting to flee.

Police were able to arrest all three, and noted one of the suspects had a gun.

When officers returned to the home, they found a man dead,

Investigators say his death is being treated as a homicide.
