Homicide police investigating North End death

Winnipeg homicide police are investigating after a man found injured on a North End sidewalk early Saturday morning died in hospital.

Police say they responded to the report of an injured man lying on a sidewalk on Arlington Street near Logan Avenue around 2 a.m.

Officers say they provided emergency medical care, including CPR and application of a chest seal.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead, according to WPS.

The homicide unit is investigating.
