Man stabbed after being called racial slurs on Winnipeg bus: police

Winnipeg police say one person is in hospital following a stabbing at the Osborne Transit Station Tuesday evening.
WPS says officers responded to the transit station around 8:45 p.m., after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed.
When officers arrived at the scene, they provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived.
The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to stable.
Police say through the initial stages of their investigation, it is believed the man who was stabbed was threatened and assaulted by another bus passenger. The threats also reportedly included racial slurs.
WPS have described the suspect in the incident as a man who is between 20 and 30 years old, with a slim build.
