$100K of crack cocaine seized in northern Manitoba: RCMP

By News Staff

Manitoba RCMP say they seized more than $100,000 worth of crack cocaine from a northern community last weekend.

Mounties in Norway House say they were conducting a traffic stop Dec. 23 around 11:15 p.m. when officers noticed “drug paraphernalia” in the vehicle.

Police arrested the four people in the vehicle, then searched it. RCMP allege officers seized more than a kilogram of crack cocaine, cash, drug paraphernalia and a baseball bat.

A 49-year-old man, two women aged 37 and 31, and a 16-year-old boy were charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All suspects were released on an undertaking.
