Man charged after Winnipeg police seize drugs, high-end merch

Winnipeg police say a 36-year-old man has been charged after cocaine, cash, jewellery, and clothing were reportedly seized over the weekend.

WPS says on March 14, officers executed a search warrant at a home along Firestone Drive near Mulberry Creek Drive, as well as two vehicles.

During the searches, police were able to find and seize 513 grams of cocaine worth around $12,000, high-end clothing and jewellery, which are estimated to be worth $46,000, and around $50,200 in cash.

As a result, 35-year-old Simalew Tolcha Mammo has been taken into custody and charged with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds obtained by a crime over $5,000.
