Human remains found in field near Killarney: RCMP

RCMP in Killarney have begun an investigation after human remains were found in a field roughly 10 kilometres west of the town.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Mounties responded to a report of a body found just off Highway 3 near Road 105 W.
When officers arrived, they learned workers were excavating gravel when the remains were discovered.
The RCMP’s forensic identification services and an anthropology team were called in to assist with the body and search the site.
The identity of the body remains unknown.
Killarney is about 240 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
